Helping Employers Scale Registered Apprenticeships in High-Demand Industries
Employers across high‑demand industries are increasingly turning to Registered Apprenticeships to build strong, sustainable talent pipelines, but knowing where to start can be a challenge. Through its recognition as an Apprenticeship Ambassador by the U.S. Department of Labor, Public Consulting Group (PCG) brings employers added confidence, credibility, and expertise to help make apprenticeship programs easier to launch and scale.

Established in 2022, the Apprenticeship Ambassador Initiative brings together industry, education, labor, and workforce leaders who partner with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship to expand and modernize Registered Apprenticeships in high‑demand industries. As part of the initiative’s third cohort, PCG joins a nationwide network of 441 Apprenticeship Ambassadors representing sectors such as healthcare, education, manufacturing, energy, financial services, and hospitality.
Apprenticeship Ambassadors collaborate with the Department of Labor to help employers:
- Expand awareness of Registered Apprenticeship as a practical workforce solution
- Modernize and scale innovative apprenticeship models and partnerships
- Increase access to apprenticeship opportunities for underrepresented and underserved populations
- Strengthen the business case for Registered Apprenticeship as a mainstream strategy in high‑demand industries
Collectively, the third cohort of Apprenticeship Ambassadors has committed to measurable outcomes in its first year, including:
- Supporting the development of more than 500 new Registered Apprenticeship Programs
- Hosting over 1,200 outreach and recruitment activities nationwide
- Helping more than 6,700 apprentices enter high‑quality training opportunities
These commitments reflect growing employer demand for apprenticeship programs that deliver real workforce impact, supporting recruitment, retention, and long‑term skill development.
Through its Apprenticeship Management Solutions, PCG helps employers design, register, and manage apprenticeship programs while reducing administrative burden and supporting compliance, program quality, and sustainability.
