Employers Nationwide Can Now Launch Registered Apprenticeships with Less Complexity

Employers across the United States now have a simpler way to build and expand registered apprenticeship programs. Following U.S. Department of Labor approval of Public Consulting Group’s (PCG) nationally recognized apprenticeship framework, organizations can launch high‑quality apprenticeships without the administrative, compliance, and reporting burden of becoming a registered sponsor.

This nationally approved framework allows employers to offer apprenticeships under a single, consistent program structure that works across state lines. Rather than navigating varying state requirements or managing federal registration independently, employers can rely on a streamlined model that reduces risk, saves time, and accelerates program launch.

Through this approach, participating employers can focus on developing talent and meeting workforce needs, while experienced program administrators manage the regulatory and operational details behind the scenes. Program management includes:

  • Apprentice registration
  • Progress tracking and reporting
  • Ongoing compliance support
  • Standardized training models and curricula

This approval allows us to operate seamlessly nationwide,” said Richard Norman, Manager of Business Implementation at PCG. “It opens doors for employers and apprentices alike, expanding access to training and workforce development opportunities.

While most national apprenticeship programs are limited to a single organization or occupation, PCG’s program is open to employers across industries and sectors, including early childhood education, healthcare, manufacturing, information technology, and skilled trades.

Our goal is to reduce barriers for employers and make apprenticeship participation simple,” added Norman. “By handling the administrative, tracking, and compliance responsibilities, we allow employers to focus on what they do best—running their business.”

By reducing administrative burden and expanding access to registered apprenticeships, the program supports employers in building resilient talent pipelines, strengthening retention, and preparing workers with industry‑recognized skills.
